This is simple. I love the holidays! It is for pure entertainment and our own personal enjoyment.
It allows me to express and entertain people locally and from miles around. All the visitors give us so much positive feedback and praise; it makes all the time and expense well worth it. The comments from the people that come watch us setup and visit during the season are just incredible. I’ve been doing Halloween & Christmas decorating since I was a kid and always will. I’m a Christian who does not believe in devil worship or any satanic rituals and our display does not have any religious undertones in any way. This is good clean Halloween fun for kids up to age 99. If you’re 100+ I don’t know if you’ll even remember you were here. We are here to entertain and bring enjoyment to the neighborhood and community.

It takes about 80-100 hours to setup. It is literally a daily project with setup, maintenance, adding new props until Halloween Day. This does not include the time it takes to make the props; which we do throughout the entire year.

No, this is a team effort. Years ago, it was mostly me, my mom, sister, and then my son. Now it’s a team of people to make something this large happen. See Our Team for more details.

We build props all year long, but setup really starts midsummer, organizing the props, doing maintenance and you can start to see the yard transition starting early September. We open early October.

The majority of our display is stored in the garage, garage attic and our basement. Every year it takes up more and more space, and we are getting close to needing offsite storage.

We had over 3000+ visitors in 2012 with over 1000+ just on Halloween. We are expecting that to go up even more this year with all the new additions and press.
